Sajeev Philip is an Assistant Professor at CAS, IIT-Delhi. Before joining CAS, he was an associate scientist, visiting at the NASA Academic Mission Services by Universities Space Research Association, NASA Ames Research Center (2019-2021). Sajeev's research interests are broadly related to understanding Earth's climate and global surface air quality, by estimating global greenhouse gas fluxes (carbon cycle and greenhouse gases science), and by investigating the public health impacts attributable to ambient fine particulate matter (aerosols) and trace gas exposure (global surface air quality research). Global chemical transport modeling (GEOS-Chem model) and satellite-based remote sensing are used as tools for these research efforts.
