Anie K Lal received Student Presentation Award at the 11th International Conference on Urban Climate (ICUC11) held at UNSW, Sydney, 2023.
The oral presentation by Anie K Lal, Ph.D. Student, at the 11th International Conference on Urban Climate (ICUC11), titled “Investigation of climatological trends and characteristics of fog over the Indo-Gangetic Plain using observations,” has received Student Presentation Award 2023. Her research highlights the hastening decline of dense fog episodes in Delhi over the past two decades. The study emphasizes how the expansion of urban and built-up areas and the resulting population increase significantly influence fog trends in any region and actively modulate its local fog conditions.
