National Celebration of the inaugural National Space Day on August 23, 2024

The Centre for Atmospheric Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, participated in the national celebration of the inaugural National Space Day on August 23, 2024. This event was held to honor India's achievement in the Chandrayaan-3 Mission, which took place the previous year. The center organized an event that included a film screening and a panel discussion as part of nationwide celebration.

The film is primarily centred around the "Evolution of the Indian Space Program" and its key figure, the renowned Vikram Sarabhai. Subsequently, a panel discussion was organised to deliberate on the "Role of Satellite Observations in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences".

A significant number of faculty members, staff, and students from the Centre actively participated in the programme.
